Install Pure-FTPd

Add repository
Pure-FTPd package is not (yet) in the default repository of CentOS.
You have to add a new repository.
(The old way)
cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
wget http://centos.karan.org/kbsingh-CentOS-Extras.repo
In the file you just downloaded you have to enable the second repository (Testing)
vi kbsingh-CentOS-Extras.repo and set enabled = 1 (the one that is 0)
rpm --import http://centos.karan.org/RPM-GPG-KEY-karan.org.txt
(The new way)

rpm --import https://fedoraproject.org/static/0608B895.txt
wget http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/i386/epel-release-6-6.noarch.rpm
rpm -ivh epel-release-6-6.noarch.rpm

Install
yum install pure-ftpd
groupadd -g 2001 ftpgroup
useradd -u 2001 -s /bin/false -d /bin/null -c "pureftpd user" -g ftpgroup ftpuser

Load at startup / start
chkconfig --levels 235 pure-ftpd on
/etc/init.d/pure-ftpd start
